"Historic" open dialogue to select next UN chief continues on second day

The “historic” and public dialogues to select the next UN Secretary-General have gone into the second day at UN headquarters.

A total of nine candidates so far have put themselves forward for the world’s top diplomatic post; four women and five men.

The meetings where candidates put forward their case and take questions from Member States and civil society groups, are continuing on Wednesday and Thursday.
