The local production of food in Latin America can create a “virtuous cycle” which will benefit farmers, the economy and help fight obesity in children; that’s according to the head of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) at a recent meeting of experts in Mexico.

Nutrition experts discussed how to make sure that the most disadvantaged communities in the region can still access healthy food.

Monica Villela Grayley asked FAO chief José Graziano da Silva what the UN agency was doing to help young people in particular.
