Human suffering has reached levels not seen since the Second World War, said the UN’s humanitarian affairs chief at the launch of a major appeal on Monday.

Emergency Relief Coordinator Stephen O’Brien, said that 125 million people around the world will need humanitarian help to survive 2016.
