Agriculture is becoming less of a “toxic issue” in climate change discussions according to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
World leaders are meeting at the COP21 summit in Paris this week in the hope of agreeing a universal deal which will help to reverse changes to the world’s climatic conditions.
The UN food agency says that concern had been voiced by some countries that an agreement could interfere with domestic agricultural policies.
Martin Frick is Director of FAO's Climate Division.
