The misuse of antibiotics puts people at risk for serious, even-life threatening illnesses.

That’s according to the World Health Organization (WHO), which is using its first-ever World Antibiotics Week to warn people about the dangers associated with the misuse of antibiotics, including the risk of bacteria resistance.

Veronica Reeves spoke to Dr Marc Sprenger from WHO.

She asked him what can be done to make sure people continue to benefit from antibiotics, without putting themselves or their health in danger.
