As many as seven million people worldwide die each year from cardiovascular and respiratory diseases associated with indoor or outdoor air pollution.

That’s according to the World Health Organization (WHO) which is calling for stronger action to reduce the impact of diesel, “dirty” household fuels such as coal and kerosene, and other types of what it calls short-lived climate pollutants.
