After two and a half years of violent conflict that has left thousands dead and millions displaced, the most tenuous months for the Central African Republic may very well lie ahead.

That was the message of participants at a high-level meeting on the situation in the country known as CAR, which took place Thursday at UN headquarters in New York.

Veronica Reeves says the meeting happened as the country prepares for critical elections, due to take place later this month.
