Concern over the quality of education in Palestine refugee schools operated by the United Nations in the Middle East may lead to a reduction in class sizes.

That’s the hope of the head of UNWRA, the UN agency which supports Palestine refugees.

A lack of financial support has forced the agency to increase the number of children in each class in many of its 700 schools.

May Yaacoub asked UNRWA Commissioner-General Pierre Krähenbühl how the agency is dealing with this issue.
