Compassion can be fostered across the world through music according to the UN Messenger of Peace, and internationally-renowned cellist, Yo-Yo Ma.

He has been at UN headquarters in New York, to mark the International Day of Peace on Monday.

Mr Ma performed for students attending the annual Peace Bell ceremony, along with fellow Messengers of Peace, anthropologist Jane Goodall, and actor Michael Douglas.
