Greater emphasis should be placed on nurturing multilingual students, according to a winner of a UN-backed essay competition entitled “Many Languages One World.”
Students from around the world submitted papers on the post-2015 development agenda of the United Nations; those papers had to be written in a language other than their mother tongue.
Masters student Likki-Lee Pitzen grew up in Germany and speaks English, German, Japanese, Thai and some Swedish.
