The use of heroin and synthetic drugs are on the rise in Asia according to a new report released by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The 2015 World Drug Report shows that Afghanistan is the major producer of heroin around the world, producing 85 per cent of opiates.

Myanmar is the second largest producer.

To find out more about the biggest drug issues in Asia, Stephanie Coutrix spoke with Angela Me  from UNODC in Vienna.

She began by asking her to describe the continent’s biggest challenges.
