An initiative has been launched in Europe to encourage women working in the field of information and communications technology to build networks of like-minded professionals.

The European Commission (EC) is behind the idea, which it says will help women to access funding for start-up projects.

Pete Forster met Helen Kopman, the Deputy Head of Innovation Unit at the European Commission at a recent UN technology conference.

He asked Ms Kopman for more details about what the EC is doing for women in technology.
