People in Kenya are benefiting in significant ways from cultural heritage sites according to the Director General of the National Museums of Kenya.

Dr Mzalendo Kibunjia was speaking in Nairobi on the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.

The UNESCO international day is aimed at deepening people’s understanding of the values of cultural diversity and its role in development.

Irene Mwakesi asked Dr Kibunjia how communities can support themselves through cultural heritage.
