International Day of Families at the UN
Different kinds of family structures have arisen all over the world during the last couple of decades, says a Professor of Law from the University of London.
Fareda Banda was present at a panel discussion on Gender Equality and Children’s Rights at the UN headquarters in New York, USA this Friday.
The new structures are a result of both war and a progressive development in gender roles.
Cathrine Hasselberg spoke with Ms. Banda and started out by asking her what some of the key issues are that the new families are facing.
