Efforts are under way in East Africa to consolidate regional economic integration that will culminate to a single currency by 2024.

That’s according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which has published a book laying out all aspects of the financial integration process for Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

Oral Williams, co-author of the book and Deputy Division Chief in the IMF’s African Department, explained the integration project to Bruce Edwards.
