Cholera in Haiti “overshadowed” by other crises

The fight against cholera in Haiti has been overshadowed by other health crises around the world according to the UN’s top envoy on the disease for the Caribbean island.
A cholera outbreak which began in 2010 has led to the deaths of over 8600 people.
Recently there has been a surge in cases.
Pedro Medrano Rojas is the UN Coordinator for Cholera Response in Haiti.
He’s due to undertake an international tour to raise awareness about the current situation in the country
