Women in power could have lessened financial crisis

The global financial crisis witnessed in the past years would not have happened, with the same intensity, had women been in higher positions of power, according to a UN labour expert.

Raymond Torres, Director of the International Labour Organization’s research department, says that women should be given a more equal role in the world of work.

Stephanie Castro has been speaking with Mr Torres about the present and prospective economic and employment situation for women around the world.
