Despite the progress that has been made in containing the spread of Ebola in Liberia, now is not the time to ease the efforts against the deadly disease.

That’s the message delivered by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon as he made a stop in Liberia on Friday as part of his mission to the West African countries worst hit by Ebola.

The disease has killed approximately 6,900 people and there are more than 18,000 reported cases of Ebola mainly in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
