Azerbaijan promises broadband internet access to all citizens

People across Azerbaijan, even those living in remote rural areas, are to have access to high-speed by 2017, according to a senior government official.
It’s hoped expand the delivery of electronic public services or e-services that would for example allow access to public records or apps to help people manage their healthcare.
Dr Ali Abbasov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Communications and High Technologies, made the announcement at a conference organized by the ITU, the International Telecommunications Union.
