Up to one million Syrians and Iraqis may be “left out in the cold” as winter approaches, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) is warning.

There has been a sharp rise in displaced populations in the region this year because of the ongoing instability.

The agency is concerned that people won’t get help because of a $58 million shortfall in funding.
