The agricultural sector in Iraq could collapse if urgent support is not delivered to farmers, according to the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO).

Livelihoods have been destroyed as a result of the rise of terrorist groups, and an estimated 2.8 million people are food insecure.

Wheat seeds, fertilizer and animal feed are starting to roll out to nearly 28,000 farming families in Iraq, but FAO says it needs an additional $38.5 million.
