Grenada farmers transform their ideas into viable businesses

Small-scale farmers in Grenada are planting everything from cherries to the so-called miracle herb “moringa” as part of efforts to create new export crops and reinvigorate the island’s agricultural sector.

A programme developed by IFAD, the UN’s International Fund for Agricultural Development aims to put their products on the map.

Over the next three years, over 12,000 farmers in the Caribbean island state will receive funds and training to transform their ideas into viable businesses.
