The National Geographic Society and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) are teaming up to raise awareness about hunger and nutrition.

The National Geographic magazine’s in depth “Future of Food” series examines the topic of feeding a booming population and covers the complex issues surrounding food around the world.

On Friday, senior officials of FAO and National Geographic formally signed an agreement in Rome to provide information related to food and nutrition.

Kaitlin Yarnall, the Deputy Creative Director of National Geographic Magazine, spoke to Sandra Ferrari about her organization’s coverage of food and food security which started in May this year.
