Family farms can play a significant role in eradicating hunger and ensuring food security, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
On Thursday, FAO released the State of Food and Agriculture for 2014.
Its findings show that innovating family farming can help solve global food challenges.
FAO says 9 out of 10 of the world’s 570 million farms are family owned and run.
