Kenya taking action to empower young people

Young people in Kenya have hope for a better future thanks to new economic policies; that’s according to a youth delegate from the East African country.

Wambui Kahara was at the UN in New York to talk about employment challenges at the organization’s committee on social issues.

Ms Kahara said that with 78 per cent of the Kenyan population under the age of 35, her government has taken action by ensuring the procurement of goods from youth-owned businesses.

Priscilla Lecomte started by asking Ms Kahara about the situation of young people in her country.
