Violence continues to obstruct relief assistance in Syria

Ongoing violence continues to make it difficult for humanitarian agencies to provide relief assistance to the people in need in Syria.
That’s what the United Nations Emergency Relief Coordinator, Valerie Amos told the Security Council as it discussed the situation in the conflict-torn country on Tuesday.
The conflict in Syria has left eleven million people in need of humanitarian assistance, according to the United Nations.
