Bangladesh is celebrating 40 years since it became a Member State of the United Nations.
In September 1974, the south-central Asian country became the 136th member.
To mark this anniversary, a commemorative event was organized at UN Headquarters in New York to highlight Bangladesh’s history with the organization, as well as its important contributions to it.
