“Stage set” for post-2015 agenda says outgoing General Assembly President

The stage has been set for the creation of the post-2015 development agenda says the President of the 68th UN General Assembly session.

John Ashe stood down as President on Monday after completing a one-year term which focussed on negotiations for putting new development goals into place.

Those new targets will replace the Millennium Development Goals or MDGs which are set to come to an end next year.

Fan Xiao caught up with Mr Ashe at an exhibition at UN headquarters in New York.

She began by asking him what the session had achieved.
