Women from Grenada play a critical role in the agricultural sector of the small island but lack resources to sustain their business, according to the manager of a rural development programme.

Byron Campbell, who overseas this government project called MAREP — Market Access And Rural Enterprise Development Programme—receives funding form the International Fund for Agricultural Development.

He says MAREP offers loans, training, and entrepreneurial exposure to women.

Paulina Kubiak met Mr Campbell on the sidelines of a climate conference in Samoa and asked him about the programme’s strategy.
