Health experts are meeting at the World Health Organization (WHO) to decide whether the Ebola outbreak in West Africa constitutes a public health emergency of international concern.

If so, says WHO Spokesperson, Fadela Chaib, recommendations will be made to put in place temporary measures to reduce the spread of the diseases to other countries.

The latest figures show that in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nigeria are estimated at 1,711 including 932 deaths.

Ms Chaib explains to Jérome Longué how this meeting came about.
