Peace and security are “prerequisites” for the sustainable development of environmental resources as well as gender equality.

That’s according to the Vice-President of Iran, who has been in Nairobi, Kenya to attend the opening meeting of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA).

UNEA is a new body which is aimed at putting global environmental challenges under an international spotlight.
