Former adversaries in the Darfur region of Sudan are learning to live together following a United Nations initiative to revive traditional mediation methods.

An estimated 300,000 people have died in Darfur over the last decade as government forces continue to battle with militias.

At the root of the problem is competition over natural resources, water and grazing lands.

But as Pat Duffy reports, former enemies are able to reconcile and work towards a better future.
