More than 30 women’s groups in South Sudan are planning to come together for a prayer for Peace day in the lead up to the next round of talks in Addis Ababa.

The talks are aimed at ending the conflict that broke out in December between government forces and those loyal to former Vice President Riek Machar who was sacked by President Salvar Kiir in July last year.

The Eve organization for Women’s Development is organizing the event that will see 34 organizations joining in prayer.

The group believes this country needs to unite in prayer to be able to unite in peace.

Sebit Ker William asked Rita Martin, the director of Eve Organization for Women’s Development in South Sudan about this prayer day?
