An integrated approach linking the health and food sectors such as agriculture is needed to tackle the problem of malnutrition among children.

This is one of the conclusions of a symposium hosted by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria, from 26 to 29 which moderate malnutrition in children.

It is estimated that 160 million children worldwide suffer from malnutrition.

One of the participants in the meeting is Dr. Emorn Udomkesmalee a Senior Adviser from the Institute of Nutrition at Mahidol University in Thailand.

She discussed the issue with Derrick Mbatha and first explained what moderate malnutrition in children is.
