An “immediate moratorium” on the use of the death penalty in the United States has been called for by the UN after a bungled execution of a man in the state of Oklahoma.
Clayton Lockett was taken to the execution chamber on Tuesday but the lethal drugs that were injected into a vein did not work.
He died of a heart attack 10 minutes after his execution was stopped.
