Experts from around the world are meeting in the Hague, in the Netherlands to look at ways of improving the health of oceans.

The Global Oceans Action Summit for Food Security and Blue Growth aims to focus attention and increased investment into addressing the three key threats to ocean health: overfishing, habitat destruction and pollution.

Árni M. Mathiesen is the Assistant Director-General of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Department at FAO.

He is hoping that the summit will provide a number of concrete actions that can be implemented.
