With one touch of a button, a free mobile application or app is helping cities save energy.

The Muhanna Foundation, a non-profit based in Beirut, designed the app a year ago, to help citizens report a street lamp that remains lit during the day.

The application can be downloaded on any Smartphone.

The Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Ibrahim Muhanna spoke to Emma Reverter in detail about the project on the margins of the World Urban Forum 7, currently underway in Medellin, Colombia.
