Cities in developing countries can learn from success stories in other parts of the world, according to Minister Suleiman Sumba from Kakamega County in Kenya.

Minister Sumba is currently at the World Urban Forum (WUF), in Colombia to discuss how cities can be a critical component in addressing inequality.

The Forum is convened every two years by the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).

Minister Sumba is looking at how citizen participation, political willpower and private-public partnerships can improve cities in his country.

UN Radio’s Joshua Mmali met with him in the streets of Medellin, Colombia, and asked about the changes he sees around him in the conference’s host city.
