More than 30 years ago Medellín, Colombia’s second largest city, was better known for being the “murder capital of the world” and home to the infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar.

Today, it’s a transformed city and is hosting the 7th World Urban Forum where experts and innovators in urban development are discussing how to plan, build and manage “just and equitable cities” around the world for the next 20 years.

Ana Moreno, Coordinator of the World Urban Forum 7  spoke to Joshua Mmali about the huge potential cities have.
