Carnival goers in Colombia are being educated about the risks of human trafficking at one of the country’s best known festivals…the Carnival of Barranquilla.

The Carnival Queen and King have teamed up with the United Nations and will both be wearing the Blue Heart, an international symbol against the crime.

The South American country is one of the world’s main sources of trafficked women.

Daniel Dickinson spoke to Carlos Perez, from the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in the Colombian capital, Bogota.

He began by asking him how serious trafficking is in Colombia.
