100 days on, Haiyan survivors need more jobs to recover

One hundred days after Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines, many people are still struggling to find jobs in order to get by and rebuild their livelihoods.

A large majority of the four million people who were displaced by the typhoon which swept across the country in November were workers.

Many of them were in a vulnerable situation even before the deadly storm struck.

The UN’s International Labour Organization (ILO) has been responding by providing emergency employment programmes.
