An estimated 10 million livestock have been displaced by the conflict in South Sudan, making it hard for communities to access milk and milk products.

That’s according to Sue Lautze, Head of office, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), in South Sudan.

The mass displacements have also disrupted the planting season, forcing people to survive on fish.

Ms. Lautze told Nelson Lwak her organization has appealed for $77 million to so people can receive emergency livelihood kits including fish, crop and vegetable seeds.
