A campaign highlighting the issue of human trafficking has taken to the streets of New York. It’s in the form of a huge colourful gift box and has been timed to coincide with one of the biggest sporting events in the US…the Super Bowl.

Led by a United Nations NGO committee, the Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking campaign or GIFT is aiming to educate people about what it calls one of the worst abuses of human rights.

It’s estimated that 27 million people worldwide are victims of human trafficking.
