The world economy is expected to grow by 2.9 percent this year which is below the 3.2 percent recorded in 2012, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The IMF says most of this growth is likely to be driven by advanced economies, while the performance of emerging markets will be weaker than expected.

Jennifer Beckman at the IMF in Washington, DC, discusses the shift in global growth patterns with Olivier Blanchard, the fund’s chief economist.
