Ministers from 11 countries meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly have adopted a Declaration on Ending Violence and Discrimination against Individuals Based on their Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.

The Declaration says lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people (LGBT) must enjoy the same human rights as everyone else.
