Myanmar has made impressive strides in opening and liberalizing the economy, boosting growth and the economic outlook, but the formerly isolated country still faces some challenges, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
To mark the annual assessment of the country’s economy, IMF’s David Schulman asked Matt Davies, the agency’s Mission Chief for Myanmar, how the country’s rapid political change has transformed its economic potential.
