Experts shed light on health issues facing indigenous youth in the Americas

Depression, suicide, disability resulting from accidents and injuries, and lack of access to basic health care, are just some of the conditions they face, according to health professionals from across the region.

Experts shared their knowledge and best practices on inter-cultural approaches to health care during an event on the margins of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, currently underway in New York.
