“The world produces enough food and has resources to produce more”, says a senior official of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), in Rome.

Mr. Kostas Stamoulis, stated that “wealth has increased dramatically and so it’s a little bit of a historical paradox that we have so many people that are undernourished in this world”.

Mr. Stamoulis is currently in Chile working on a new strategic framework with various country representatives of FAO. Speaking on the line from Chile, he explains to Beng Poblete-Enriquez the challenges to global food security.
