The United Nations is appealing for $1.5 billion to address the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation in Syria.
The funds will be used to meet the needs of the more than four million people inside Syria who require urgent assistance and of the more than 500,000 Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries.
The UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) launched the appeal in Geneva on Wednesday.
