The central role of women in development is being discussed at a two-day meeting taking place in Vienna, Austria.

The Vienna Policy Dialogue has been organized by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) in partnership with UN women and the Government of Austria.

Representatives and experts from national and local governments, women’s organizations and the private sector are developing policy recommendations to advance gender equality and the empowerment of women.
